Hello; London; Hey!

Hosh hosh.

It's been a while that I know, since I wrote things, on any of my blogs. I'm not busy. I just love to do nothing (in Indonesian you can call it "bengong", you do nothing, you think nothing, all you do is keeping air coming in and out through your nose, just in case you take "do nothing" as holding your breath as well -I'm not making suicidal advice-). Lucky me. I don't spend my whole summer break by "bengong", I got a chance to spend my summer break on LONDON, Yeah, spell it, L-O-N-D-O-N. The one in United Kingdom (though I never found another city named after that one).

My dad was going to have an offshore course in Holborn, for his job in the gas company. His actual course was started on June 7th, but he took mom, me and my sister along with him so we can have a holiday while we also accompanied him through his 2 weeks course. It's a pretty clever idea, even dad split his first-class ticket so the amount of money can covered the tickets of four of us, in economy class. It's London, isn't it? Doesn't matter if you're in economy class, YOU'RE GOING TO LONDON, and that matters a lot. My flight was on June 5th. It was the Emirates plane (I don't know what type, Boeing-something...). And so we're off to Dubai (yes, we were transferred passengers!). Dubai was a great city, really great city. I didn't visit much, I just stayed in the airport for 4 hours and all I did was running here and there taking pictures of the amazingly huge airport with amazing architecture. We absolutely knew nothing about the foods. All we knew was the circular logo of Burger King, so we ate and sat there, waiting for our plane to London. And I remembered this cute English guy. He was wearing grey shirts, faded jeans, and he also put on a straw hat. He was reading this old book, I knew it's old from the colour of the papers, yellowish, and the cover was from some sort of crocodile skin or snake skin, I don't know (all I know is that he's cute and he sat in front of me).

you can see the Burger King sign!

And so we did. We arrived at London. "Hey it's pretty warm!", so I thought. But it was inside the airport. The second I got out to call a taxi, I shivered. So bad that I couldn't even grip my luggage. I could feel the super cold wind dancing through my not-so-thick-sweater (duh, it wasn't even a sweater, it's only a piece of Ralph Lauren with some knitworks). The taxi driver was an old man, totally old man. I bet he was 60 something or even 70 something, his wrinkles were all over his face and hands. I took lots of pictures with my Blackberry, it was too cold to grab the bag and took the DSLR, I couldn't even reach my Holga, my hands were very cold. The road we're passing was pretty. We went through Knightsbridge, it was 9am on Sunday, so no shops were opened. We passed Trafalgar Sq also, it was really quite there. I really enjoyed the view. Buildings with bricks here and there, pedestrials completed with crossings, red buses busy stopping through bus stops here and there, and people of lots of kinds. And then we arrived at Holborn. We stayed in a hotel called Kingsway Hall, it's on Great Queen St. The neighbourhood was very quiet before 12am, so I decided to take a walk passing two or three blocks around and my Holga was with me!

Okay. I can't stand this Radiohead songs, moves my body to bed. Tomorrow is off-class, I promise to whoever read this, I'll edit this post to continue my story (if you care).

Where I should be when I was having mid term exams

I love this festival so much and currently saving money so I can catch next year's! Wish me your best of luck! (and actually, I wrote an essay about Coachella as my English class final assignment; totally  doesn't sound like I'm an engineering student)

G L A M O U R I S E R

Well, I've always been in love with those fashion world since I was like, 6 or 7. What I'm saying is, I love fashion world but I'm not into being fashionable. Cool it is, to be the one who's the first to say "hey, white is the new black!" when people is still in love with whites, or even invent new ways to wear some piece of clothings that appears normal to our eyes but to them, seen as oh-gosh-we-can-wear-this-in-hundreds-of-ways! I feel that the term stylish is not suitable for me. I wear what I feel like wanna wear, even if it hurts somebody's pair of eyes.

I love fashion world like hell. I always browse for new-yet-talented scouted girls' portfolios every month. I like models with great eyes and perfect bone cheek. Once I love one, I trace their campaigns and that's one of three ways of reasons to love a designer. As if you haven't realized, there are three ways (to me) to love them, one by the girls that do the campaigns, two by catchy-makeups that the makeup artists do at campaigns, and the last is by NYLON magazine (oh I love how they translate high-fashion into street-fashion).

Currently I love three new models (but still keeping Freja Beha Erichsen in mind, I will never delete her from my list). These three girls are Kim Noorda, Dree Hemingway and Frida Gustavsson.

Kim Noorda

Kim Noorda is a dutch girl that was scouted at the age of 17. She's currently campaigning Chanel, Burberry, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana and has appeared on the cover of Vogue (Brazil, Japan, Russia), Madame FigaroDMarie Claire (Italy), Elle (Netherlands), Avantegarde (Netherlands), and Harper's Bazaar. She has the height of 178 cm (I won't tell how much she weighs).

Dree Hemingway

Dree debuted at the fall/winter 09-10 catwalk show for Givenchy in Paris. June 2009, walks in the Calvin Klein resort show in New York. September 2009, opens the Topshop spring/summer 2010 show in London, also walks for House of Holland, Karl Lagerfeld, Giles, Chanel and Rue du Mail shows that season. She has the height of 174 cm.

Frida Gustavsson

This girl here, Frida, has made me jealous real bad. She's sixteen and her height is 180 cm and she has walked shows for Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Fendi, Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Emilio Pucci, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Just Cavalli and Versace (whew, what a line!)

As if I post this doesn't mean that I'm interested in being a model though some people encourage me to.

Gosh Gosh Gosh

I love this guy then and now. Though he's as old as my mom.

Holiday To-Do List!

These are a few of what will I might do:
  1. Take lots of pictures with my Canon Demi EE 17. Since it's a double-frame camera, means my 36 doubled to 72, aaaand definitely takes times, I'm busy with my college books, no way I have enough time for hunting pretty pictures. So this holiday sounds a perfect time!
  2. Go ice skating! So long haven't done that. With my friends will be great.
  3. Make stickers again, or design an accessory for my room in Bandung.
  4. Re-read Sherlock Holmes (again).
  5. Finish read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Well, for the 3rd times.
  6. Make collages. Love this plan so much!
  7. Doodle on my flower book a lot. I love to do this recently. It's not a doodle actually, only sentences with lots of colours.
My holiday started yesterday. I haven't done much.

Hope the list will be all-checked!

Pink-ish!

Hi! I just made another blog of mine. Hopefully I will write a lot.

I chose the color pink because I'm in love with Pink Floyd so much, though it does not really have a connection between pink and the band, but it made me says 'pink' everytime. Funny cause I used to hate the color pink. Just like Karen O said: "I've never worn this much pink in my life - and I love it!".
